Hornsey is a state-of-the-art depot, which houses and maintains £1bn worth of new train fleets. The completion of the Hornsey facility in 2016, coupled with the existing building, has created one of the UK’s largest train servicing facilities.
Discussing the project’s success, Gary Rhodes, operations manager at Aaron Rail, said:
“This was an important project for the Depot, which will increase the capabilities of the fleet maintenance team and elevate the need to be constantly shunting the trains to ensure the calibration of the vital components. The team delivered all works safely and efficiently with minimal disruption to ensure no impact to the depots capabilities, much to the satisfaction of our client. A job well done and another great example of our rail civils capabilities.”
