Aaron Rail, a leading provider of end-to-end rail engineering solutions, recently played a crucial role in supporting a 10-day blockade on the TransPenine Route Upgrade (TRU) project in West Yorkshire.
The blockade, which required intensive support and coordination, saw Aaron Rail provide a range of essential services to ensure the project’s success.
During the 10-day possession, Aaron Rail’s involvement was extensive and varied. The team provided Worksite Management, COSSs for VIP Walkouts, support for the Track Team on core renewals at short notice, LSC LOC Base Installs, Compound Supervision, SAC Support, Track Team support for BAM Major Civils works at Huddersfield Station, and Static/Roaming Guards on various sites.
Additionally, outside of the blockade possession, Aaron Rail quietly but crucially provided significant resources to support the Track Team with their W1&2 IBJ Recovery program, Morley Preparatory Works & Rail Drops for upcoming blockades in Week 4 to 7, and Cottingley devegetation Works. These contributions enabled the track team to utilise all of their core gangs on priority renewals during the 10-day blockade.
Dave Barnett, Managing Director for Aaron Rail, praised the team’s efforts for the positive feedback received during the blockade. He said:
“We are delighted with the successful outcome of our support during the 10-day TRU blockade. The positive feedback we’ve received highlights the dedication and professionalism of our team. It’s a testament to our commitment to delivering high-quality services and our ability to respond quickly to our clients’ needs, while also working seamlessly with their project teams.”
The feedback received by Aaron Rail included praise for the work ethic of its resources supplied to the track team, the quality of COSS briefings for VIP Walkouts, the notable presence of Aaron Rail’s senior management on-site, the ability to provide additional cover at short notice, and the exemplary timekeeping and work ethic demonstrated by the firm’s resources in completing all works alongside the blockade.
Aaron Rail’s involvement in the TRU project underscores its reputation as a trusted partner in rail engineering schemes, with a commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.
